The Thakoon for Target collection initially launched in mid-winter 2008. Somehow, I didn’t shop it back then. It took one look at the super chic, batik print styles in the newly-released anniversary collection, though, for me to be smitten with it. The only question? Do I get the blue batik print Target dress or the black one?
What I’m wearing:
Dress | Belt | Pumps c/o | Bag | Anklet c/o | Hoops (similar)
This printastic collection is by designer Thakoon Panichgul. The prints throughout this anniversary collection offer a sophisticated, polished way to dabble in fall’s tie dye trend.
The shirtdress I’m wearing was a no brainer for me. It has a hidden button front and 3/4 length sleeves. It has an oversized A-line silhouette and comes with a self-tie belt to cinch the waist. And, yes, it has pockets!!
For styling, I simply swapped the belt with my Gucci belt, threw on some pumps, and I was out the door. I’m looking forward to restyling this dress as well. I think it can work well as a lightweight jacket by simply opening the front. Doing so will make this a fabulous fall companion. As a topper, the dress can be worn over pants or over another dress. I’m getting excited just thinking about the possibilities.
Seriously, this dress might be the best $38 I’ve ever spent in Target. For reference, I’m wearing it in a size small.
