Fashionable Sneakers for Style on the Move

I love my pointed-toe pumps, but sometimes I want to just kick off my heels and kick it in a pair of comfortable sneakers. I’m not sure if it’s the rise of the sporty style trend, but fashionable sneakers seem more appealing to me than ever. Of course, I have my gym shoes that I reserve for working out at the gym. And, now, I’ve found my go-to fashionable pair in the Nike Air Max Motion sneakers.

These sneakers have a beautiful and breathable mesh upper. It was the color, though, a perfect-for-fall red (Noble Red), that won me over. If you see me on the weekend, I’ll be rocking these sneakers.

How to Wear Vibrant Mustard Pants

I love all colors in the yellow family, especially mustard. It only made sense, then, that I tried on and later purchased these mustard chinos in Zara recently. While I rarely wear color on the bottom, I’m challenging myself to change that this year. Some style practices are good convention and others aren’t necessary. So, mustard pants, it is!

If you read my round-up of affordable, colorful pants for fall, you’d recognize today’s featured pair. I bought them when I also purchased the green chinos shown in this post. While I like the relaxed fit of the green chinos more, I do love the vibrant color and more polished look of this mustard pair.

When I purchased the pants, I knew I wanted to create an outfit with the cool color combination of mustard, white, and grey. By the way, how fabulous does the Kendra Scott Jayce necklace in gray granite look in this combination? It seems like it will go with so much in my wardrobe.

A white blazer is such a seasonless style staple for me. See how I’ve worn one herehere, here, herehere, and here. The white blazer featured in those posts fell apart, though, so I’ve been hoping to replace it. I was thrilled, then, to find my new white blazer on mega sale at Ann Taylor right now. It has the perfect longer length. It’s a cotton-blend blazer which makes it ideal for all seasons, unlike the wool version. And, did I mention that it’s on sale and that sale is on sale?

Talking about bargain buys, my pumps were such a steal at the Saks Off 5th store at the St. Louis Premium Outlets. They were under $40! They were such a lucky find because I’ve wanted a pair of these studded French Connection pumps for a longtime, but they kept selling out. Finding them at that price and in grey was such good fortune.

8 Affordable Pairs of Pants in the IT Colors of Fall

I’ve always been willing to embrace color into my style, except with pants. My pant wardrobe is dark, y’all, from dark rinse denims to several pairs of black pants. As a pear-shaped woman, I suppose wearing darker bottoms is an easy choice for creating ‘balanced’ looks. This fall, though, I’m saying yes to colorful pants. You saw me rock the green pair shown below in yesterday’s post. Here are a few other affordable pairs, each in a must-have color for fall according to the latest Pantone Color Report.

How to Wear Fall’s Floral Blazer Right Now

Today’s featured blazer is one of my favorite purchases from my recent trip to New York City. I found it in Zara, a store I enjoy shopping whenever I’m in the big city. I was drawn to the floral blazer because of its unstructured silhouette and its combination of print and color.

I’ve been saving the blazer for fall. Since we had a surprisingly cool weekend, though, I wore it out on Saturday night. The blazer was the perfect topper for my reversible camisole (see the camisole worn on the other side in this post) worn with green chinos.

To accessorize, I added my Kendra Scott ‘Jayce’ necklace in gray granite. By the way, Kendra Scott’s Fall 2016 collection introduced this lovely stone and every piece featuring it is stunning. The Talia earrings. The Kenny ring. The Samantha necklace. Gray granite looks lovely set in each style. I chose a Jayce necklace because I envision it adding a chic touch to sweaters and other fall style staples.

I’ve been rocking kinky twists for a couple weeks. They’ve given me some much needed relief from doing my hair.
