Color Blocking 2 Of The Biggest Colors Of The Year

Let the countdown to spring and all the standout colors spring will bring begin! I’ve certainly been enjoying the continued brightening of colors every fashion season for the past few years. They’re getting brighter and more cheerful every year and offer so much incentive to start color blocking.

I believe strongly in dressing for our current realities, which for many of us means we’re home a lot more than usual. My loungewear and smart casual wardrobe has expanded accordingly. Just when I was getting bored with joggers, brands began making them feel fresh again with colorful options. When I saw my absolute favorite pair of joggers at the moment (this style from Tarjay) drop in a few new colors, I snagged them quickly.

Color Blocking Joggers

Seriously, I vouch for the Joy Lab french terry joggers. This new purple pair (and the coral one I bought with it) rounds out my collection of 6 of them. Yes, 6 pairs. It’s curve-flattering fit and the 7/8 length for me! There’s something special about the fabric too. It feels soft, it’s machine washable and dry-able, and it’s durable. I wear and wash them weekly, and there’s no pilling or snagging or fading. When you find such a gem, you stock up.

Color Blocking Joggers

For a little spring color play, I paired the purple joggers with a blue sweater (see the sweater style in green worn here). These shades of purple and blue are analogous colors, making them mix well together. My navy blue blazer from Zara worked well as an additional layer for warmth and for dressing up the casual separates.

Bar Cart Styling And The Most Fun Way To Keep It Stocked

Anyone else constantly changing things around their house since being home more often? I know I am. After creating my corner office in an empty nook in my dining room, I’ve been exploring options for another open space next to the library in that same dining room. I’ve decided to add a bar cart. Today, I’m sharing all the details on my bar cart styling as well as a fitting subscription I recently acquired (with a special code for you).

Bar Cart Details:

Raffia bar cart | Wall baskets | Wine via Vine Oh! (use code EOSGift) | Snifters

I enjoy having gorgeous, natural textures around my home. So, rattan is a go-to for that natural element. When I found this rattan bar cart for $150, I knew it was the one. It’s a two-tiered bar cart with a beautiful, honey wood color. It was also the perfect size for my space. And, the best part? It arrived fully assembled in a huge box. I simply had to remove it and get to bar cart styling.

Since my bar cart is less than half of the height of the bookcases sitting next to it, I wanted something interesting for the wall behind the cart. These wall baskets, which come in a pack of 4 (largest one is not shown here), were the perfect addition.

I’m partnering with Vine Oh!, a quarterly subscription box that is anchored by wine, on Instagram today. I have a special code (EOSGIFT) that I had to share with fellow wine lovers here as well. The box retails for $59.99 and comes with 2 premium, private label bottles of wines and 5-6 full-size products. My code–EOSGift–gives you a 3rd bottle of wine for the life of your subscription and the wine glass (I’m holding above) as a gift with purchase.

I like to try new wines, so I’ve been enjoying this subscription. I’m showcasing a mixed box (white and red wines), but my usual selection will be reds only. I love that there’s an option to select red or white wines only or a mix of both. Want more details? I’m sharing an unboxing on Instagram today at 5PM CST.

The Eye-Catching Color Combo To Wear Now And Later

It’s certainly still winter. But, I can pretend like it’s spring/summer since I’m staying inside. One of my go-to summer color combinations is surely a striking fuchsia paired with a bold orange. For a little Zoom get-together last weekend, I decided to rock this color combo to pop on video. And, pop it did! I’m sharing that look today, minus the shoes, since I was wearing slippers. I did mention I was at home, right? Ha.

My Milly blazer is an oldie that I purchased in Nordstrom. I wear it often (see it anchoring a bright suit here). In this outfit, I’m wearing it solely for the added color, so I caped it over the shoulders. The dress is a summer find from H&M (see it worn before here). I’m really excited to see what H&M’s warm-season collections look like this year because they were amazing last year.

I haven’t gotten glam at home in a while. It felt good to take a short break from my beloved joggers.

Itching to infuse new life and energy into your spring style this year? A great place would be to start with a few fashion brands that are dominating the digital world right now. This entire look is anchored by the Reese Pullover Crop sweater and the Nina skirt in a striking mandarin color. Both pieces are by Hanifa, a go-to brand for bold colors and unique textures. The statement, woven sandals are by the footwear and accessory brand Shekudo. Every spring step would be fun and colorful in these beauties. If you love a good mini bag, Brandon Blackwood needs to be on your radar. This powder blue bag is a perfect choice for spring and summer and pops against the Hanifa set. Move over LV, these must-have gold logo earrings are by the popular Telfar brand (see my favorite Telfar bag here).

How To Stand Out in Your Next Video Call

I work remotely for a tech company that has a very casual vibe. So, my daily uniform is one of my favorite jogger sets (like this Target pullover/jogger combo that I own in 3 colors) or some combination of my favorite knits. My sets are cute and comfy, but some days (especially those that involve a video call) I just want a little more oomph. I like to throw on some statement jewelry when that’s the case. And, sis, Kendra Scott’s Spring 2021 Collection, which dropped today, is filled with the perfect statement makers. I’ve rounded up my absolute must-haves.

Kendra Scott Natalie Earrings and Cocktail Ring

Since cutting my hair, I prefer wearing smaller earrings. I took one look at the rattan-inspired design on these large Natalie earrings and knew I’d be making an exception. They’re GORGEOUS. I’m designating them my go-to pair for special occasions. But, when my casual knits need a little jazzing up to hop on a zoom call, these earrings do the trick every time. And, the coordinating Natalie cocktail ring? It might be my favorite Kendra Scott ring ever. I talk with my hands just to show it off.

Rebecca Large Long Pendant Necklace And More

The Rebecca necklace is so edgy, from the bold chain to the standout pendant. It’s the best finishing touch for turtlenecks or pullover sweatshirts. It takes those pieces from plain to fashion in an instant. I’m also wearing the Brylee chain bracelet. By the way, the Brylee necklace is another new favorite for dressing up basic knits. I’m also wearing the Natalie ring in this look. I told you it was my favorite.
