Jumping for Joy

This summer, I’ve had a hard time getting to the gym. Worst time ever to skip on exercising. I’ve been trying, then, to sneak in short workouts when I can at home. For cardio, I’ve been experimenting with fun exercises like jumping rope. It’s so much fun and burns a lot of calories. Win-win situation.

If your workout needs a jump start, try something new. A friend of mine has taken up hula hooping. Unfortunately, I could never keep a hula hoop up long enough to get any benefit. Jumping rope, then, is just right for me. My TKO rope, which retails for $30, has a comfortable handle and an adjustable vinyl rope that makes jumping rope for exercise super easy.

Spring Workout Style

I’ve been slacking on the gym in recent weeks. My invitation to try the new RBX Active digital camo leggings came right on time then. New activewear gets me excited to get back into my workout routine. And, camo workout pants? Of course, I had to check ’em out.

I own a couple pairs of RBX Active pants already, so I was familiar with the brand. What I didn’t know is that the company is only three years old. I was initially drawn to the brand because of its affordable prices, which made it easy for me to expand my fitness wardrobe without spending a lot. It was the quality of my RBX pieces, though, that made me a fan. My camo capri leggings, for example, are moisture-wicking, stretchy, and fade resistant. I’ve paid high prices to get those qualities in the past. But, get this? These leggings retail for only $29.99. The coupon code Active25 gives a 25% discount on that low price too (valid through 7/31/15).

Here’s a close-up of the fresh camo print on the leggings.

I’m wearing the RBX capri leggings in a size small. They are available in sizes S to XL.

A cool perk of owning these camo leggings is that they look chic outside the gym too. Running errands? Walking the dog? I can throw on these leggings to be comfortable and stylish. Win-Win!

I haven’t been shopping at Anthropologie much lately, but I’m always scouting great sales there. From the Gym to the Street

Gym clothes seem to be everywhere lately. Leggings. Sweat pants. Sneakers. All appropriate and super stylish to wear inside the gym and outside of the gym. I’m quite happy about the direction of the sporty chic trend, because comfort seems to be at its forefront. And, who doesn’t like to be comfortable?

Whenever I leave the gym, I frequently end up running errands in my gym clothes. So, my activewear often has to work double duty. Today’s post shares one of those sporty chic, post-gym looks you would find me moving around St. Louis wearing. My workout outfit is anchored by a grey stripe active tank and black leggings. To hit the streets, I add a hip jacket, retro sneakers, and a cross body bag.
