Nothing quite screams fall like plaid. So, when I saw these plaid paper-bag waist pants for under $30, I grabbed myself a pair. It’s super hot in St. Louis, but I’m slowly getting my wardrobe ready for the season ahead. What I love about this particular pair of pants is that they’re classic and modern at the same time and quite versatile. Furthermore, this high-waist, paper-bag style is a perfect complement to some of my favorite top trends for the season.
What I’m wearing:
Asymmetrical top | Paper-bag pants | Slingbacks | Bag | Pearl studs (similar)
These pants are a smart choice because they’re polished enough for work and hip enough for off-duty styling as well. Simply choose the appropriate top for the occasion. For an off-duty look (unless you work in a super cool work environment), I wore the pants with a one-shoulder top. To keep the look hip, I added green slingbacks. The pop of color is pretty with white and grey. The flat heel, especially on an au moment style like this one, keeps the look casual-cool.
