It’s still shorts season! If you’ve still been on the fence about embracing shorts this summer, you haven’t tried high-waist shorts. I’ve had a pair of H&M high, paper-bag waist shorts (seen also here) on repeat. These shorts have been go-tos because they’re polished and quite versatile. To demonstrate, I’m wearing my shorts with a crop top in today’s post. Shorts and a cropped top? I promise it won’t look scandalous. Lol.
What I’m wearing:
Frill bandeau (Get 40% off at PLT) | High-waisted shorts | Blazer
Sandals (option) | Bag: Vintage Fendi baguette
Lip: Fenty Beauty Ma’Damn | Foundation: Pat McGrath (Medium Deep 26)
The higher rise on high-waist shorts makes them the perfect partner to all kinds of tops. Tube tops. Cropped tops. Off-the-shoulder tops. They all look amazing with the right pair of shorts. I found this tiny frill bandeau at Pretty Little Thing. It’s short, but when paired with my H&M shorts, it quickly becomes the perfect length, giving just a glimpse of the midsection. Of course, to cover up a bit more, a jacket (like my white blazer) is a sharp addition to the combination.
I’ve also worn these shorts with my Gibson X HiSugarplum Ibiza one shoulder top (in summer stripe). The combination was the perfect outdoor festival look.
By the way, my sandals are from Zara. I got them in the Zara summer sale before they sold out online. And, my bag is a little piece of Fendi history–a Fendi Zucca Baguette–that I found on Fashionphile.
