I’ve been so inspired by the menswear for women trend. I was watching the Celine Spring 2019 runway show recently. If you’ve been following fashion news, you already know that the new creative director, Hedi Slimane, received a lot of criticism for that show (read more here). I, too, was not a fan of the direction he chose for womenswear in the line. But, the sharp, slim suits on the men? Loved them. And, it turns out, the entire line of suits is unisex and available for both men and women.
In today’s post, I’m putting my spin on a look I peeped in the runway presentation (see it here). Of course, by my own spin, I mean I made the look colorful and added heels.
What I’m wearing:
Trench coat (sold out, similar, option, option) | Pants | White shirt | Tie (similar)
Gucci Super Mini Bag | Pointy Toe Ankle boots (similar, similar)
I wear this trench coat a lot. Want proof? See it worn here, here, here, and here. I thought it would bring a lovely pop of color to this menswear-inspried look. I also had the perfect green tie (borrowed from my husband’s closet) to colorblock with the yellow.
To complete the look, I reached for my point toe ankle boots (see similar pointed toe styles here and here) and my Gucci Super Mini bag.
