Pastels for a Softer Approach to Color this Spring

Spring vibes! I’m working on a fun social media campaign with Zappos. I had to style an outfit around a pair of Clarks. If you’re into Caribbean culture or reggae music, you’re familiar with reggae’s obsession with Clarks, particularly the Desert boots. I was especially curious, then, to explore the brand and see what new fresh styles were available.

Today, I’m giving you a sneak peek at my choice and sharing the outfit I styled around them. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to check out my post that goes live tomorrow.

Pastels (and more) I’m wearing:

I decided on the Clarks Teadale Rhea, a beautiful pair of suede oxfords with a platform heel. These shoes initially appealed to me because of their soft color, described as beige but definitely blush. I knew they would blend right in with my favorite pastels this spring and summer.

What really impressed me about these oxfords, though, is how comfortable they are. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced cushioned insoles this comfy.

For my outfit, I decided to tease the soft blush color of the shoes by wearing my J.Crew Factory tie-waist striped top. By the way, everything at J.Crew Factory is 50% off right now! You can get my entire outfit from this post on mega sale.

I finished the look with white jeans because white jeans evoke spring vibes. White always looks great with pastels too.
