My Favorite Statement-Making Styles for Spring

Want to step up your style this spring? The easiest way would be to add one or a few of the statement-making styles of the season to your wardrobe. Without a doubt, two of my favorites are statement sleeves and wide-leg pants. And, today, I toss them together to make a sophisticated but loud statement.

When I first spotted the Venus cinched tied sleeve top, I knew I had to have it. The only question was, “do I get it in white, polkadots, or stripes?” Ultimately, I decided on white because that option best fit my current wardrobe needs.

For only $42, this off-the-shoulder top is giving me a sweetheart neckline, cinched sleeves with ties at the ends, and a bustier to maintain the perfect contour. I’m wearing the top in a size 4, which was the perfect fit for me.

I wore the top for the first time to a runway event last night. For the occasion, I paired it with my stripe wide-leg pants. If you’ve been eying these pants, now is the time to get ’em. They’re marked down to $19.99, y’all! For reference, I’m wearing a size 4 in the pants. I usually wear a size 6 in pants, but this styles is super stretchy and accommodates hips like a boss.

To complete the look, I wore an old-school favorite pair of Kendra Scott earrings in lieu of a necklace. Wearing earrings alone allowed the top to get all its shine.

Wearing black and white with no pop of color nor an additional print would be unnatural for me. So, my floral pumps were an ideal choice because they added both color and print.
