It’s Spring! Celebrate with Shoulders Out

Happy 1st day of spring! We’ve been talking a lot about spring trends in preparation for this moment. For example, we totally need hoop earrings, wrap shirts, shirtdresses, and fabulous sandals. I’m especially excited to see that the off-the-shoulder trend is holding on for another season. Nothing is sexier than a woman’s décolletage. And, it’s time to show it off.

off-the-shoulder trend

I found my stripe off-the-shoulder shirt in Nordstrom. See it worn before here. Naturally, I was attracted to the stripes. I was also drawn to the top, though, because it seemed like it would be versatile. And, I was right. The shirt can be worn as an off-the-shoulder style or high on the shoulders like a boatneck top. It can be buttoned all the way up or worn with the top buttons unfastened. It can be worn tucked or untucked. The sleeves can be worn long or short. Serious versatility.

I wore the off-the-shoulder shirt casually with jeans to an event recently. I made the look fun by incorporating a few print accessories that clashed but complemented the stripes.

My dotted Loeffler Randall clutch and floral Sophia Webster pumps were the perfect prints to play up the stripes.
