Weekend Getaway Style Complete with Affordable Duffel Bag

I feel so ready to tackle this week after a relaxing staycation I’ll be sharing more about later. Today’s post highlights my weekend getaway style on travel day. I give considerable thought to what I wear when I travel because I like to feel comfortable while looking polished. Remember my airport style here, here, and here? Each look was anchored by comfy knits and light layers for adjusting to any climate. My weekend travel look relied on that same style formula.

I tossed on my most comfortable pair of jeans (under $30), a white tee, a moto jacket, and flat loafers. And, just like that, I was ready for a day on the move.

By the way, I packed all of my essentials in my favorite duffel bag. I usually rock this bag as my personal item when traveling by plane (see how here). It’s such a luxe-looking bag in this dark cognac color. But, since it’s made of faux leather, it actually retails for under $70! I find this size perfect for a weekend getaway, but there is a similar larger duffel bag for those that require more room.

    Hi,

I wanted to know if this was the Dark Yellow jacket that is on Anthropologie’s website or is this the same jacket in a lighter yellow?

Hi Marsha. Yes, it’s the same dark yellow jacket that’s on the site. It’s definitely lighter in person that it shows online.
