We’re often told that style is a way to speak to the world without saying a word. So, today, I’m joining a few of my sister bloggers to speak about violence against black bodies. Conservative politicians often use the notion of black on black as a disparaging phrase for African Americans. As you can see, my sister bloggers and I find a more creative use for blackness. To acknowledge the movement for racial justice, we’re all wearing black today and uniting as bloggers for black lives.
What I’m Wearing:
Top | Skirt (similar, similar) | Pumps | Sunglasses | Earrings (c/o)
See how my sister bloggers have joined the conversation:
Lisa of Lisa a La Mode
Patrice and Thaina of Secrets des Soeurs
Seyi of In Fashion I Trust
Tiffany of Tiffany Ima
