Pleats, please! Pretty pleats have appeared as micro trends for a few seasons now, and of course, I’ve been loving it. I enjoy my pleated skirts and dresses because they wear effortlessly and move magically. Furthermore, items with pleats just exude that gone-with-the-wind-fabulous vibe. Therefore, I’m especially excited to see pretty pleats among must-wear trends for Fall 2016.

Today’s featured BCBG pleated maxi skirt is a favorite bargain find from a shopping trip I hosted at the St. Louis Premium Outlets. You’ve seen me wear it before in this post. For a different look this time, I decided to pair the skirt with a top in a similar hue to create a monochrome ensemble. By the way, this is another option I’m considering for the Beyonce Formation Tour.
In addition to its color, the turtleneck crop top is a perfect complement to the skirt because of its silhouette. Most important, the shorter top creates balance with the longer, voluminous skirt.
