I’ve been online stalking the J.Crew Collection Leather High-Heel Sandals in mixed gingham since they hit the J.Crew site. What can I say? They’re the mixed gingham print sandals of my dreams, and I’ve been imagining all the ensembles I could create around them. When these beauties finally became eligible for store promotions last week, then, I ordered them quickly. By the way, the sandals are currently 30% off with the code SHOPNOW (valid through June 29th). Just giving you a heads up.

What do you do with mixed gingham print sandals? You create fun, mixed-print looks, of course! Last weekend, I took my new shoes out for a test run. I wore the sandals with my navy and white polka dot dress. The combination of prints was seamless because the sandals and dress share a common color palette.

Wondering about fit? I purchased the gingham sandals in my usual size 8. They fit perfectly true to size for me. The stacked heel feels stable, and the wide straps are comfortable. My only gripe is the positioning of the buckle, which sits right on my outer ankle bone. Surprisingly though, I didn’t encounter any issues with the buckle while wearing the sandals. I imagine it would be painful to run in these because of the buckle, but fortunately I wouldn’t need to do that.
I can’t wait to wear these sandals again and again and again. I’m going to have so much fun exploring print and color combinations with these beauties.
LOVE the dress…OH…and the shoes too!!

Love the look and must look into those shoes. OMG! You live in my old home town. Was born and raised there until I moved away 6 years ago. Attended many a Fair St. Louis 🙂 #BLMgirl

That’s fantastic, Teri! You’re still a fellow St. Louisan…even if you’ve moved away. Definitely check out the shoes. They’re even more gorgeous in person.
