Y’all, our temperatures have been averaging like 99 degrees all week here in St. Louis. 99 degrees! That’s too hot do anything. Too hot to look like anything. I’ve been relying on a few key summer style essentials to at least slightly resemble the person you usually see on here. Lol. Seriously though.
My hair stopped cooperating on the first extremely humid day this week, so I’ve been rocking my Brooklyn Hat Company fedora or a head wrap (like the one I’m wearing in this post) to keep my head covered in style. I’ve simplified my makeup routine to a bold brow using my Mac Big Brow Pencil and a bright red lip. My current favorite red is the Mac x Charlotte Olympia “Scarlett Starlet” lipstick worn with the Mac x Charlotte Olympia “Kiss Me Quick” lip pencil. Since I’ve been skipping foundation and eye makeup, I’ve been sporting my mirrored sunglasses all he time. To stay cool, I’ve been wearing these favorite things with my go-to summer frocks complete with a perfect-for-summer geometric clutch (under $20) and some comfy slip-on sandals (on sale).
