What can I say? I love chambray shirts! They’re just so versatile. When I need a button-up shirt to layer under a sweater, I reach for my chambray. When I need a lightweight topper for a tank, I reach for my chambray. No matter what bottom I’m rocking, from slacks to midi skirts to jeans to shorts, my chambray shirt always pairs well. I already own a couple chambray shirts, but I’ve been searching for a light wash one to create a cool, denim-on-denim ensemble. I found the perfect one in Gordmans, y’all.

My chambray shirt from Gordmans was an easy choice when I needed an additional layer for a dark-rinse denim and white tank combination recently. We’ve been experiencing some fairly chilly days here in St. Louis.
Of course, for me, no outfit is complete without a few pops of colors. And, this double denim ensemble creates a perfect backdrop for adding color. My pink agate earrings really standout against the blues.
My most colorful pumps, an old pair of J.Crew Elsie d’Orsay pumps, seamlessly blend with the blues as well. By the way, have you seem the new dotted d’Orsay pumps? I’m waiting for markdowns on that beauty.
