Luxe Accessories You Can Actually Afford

Accessories are such an important part of any look. So, for the past couple years, one of my personal style goals has been to curate a collection of accessories that would help me improve the looks I wear and share on the blog.

I love pieces that look luxurious. Standout items that could make a white tee and jeans look fabulous, and still perfectly complement a more formal look. Often, those accessories I’m drawn to are expensive. To get the items I want, I’ve grown very comfortable waiting for markdowns. And, let me tell you, prices always come down. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite luxe accessories and how I acquired them at bargain prices.

Fancy clutch! I’ve been on the hunt for a Loeffler Randall lock clutch. The $400 price, though, was too high for me. When it got marked down by over 60% recently at an off-price store, it entered my price range, so I didn’t hesitate the get one.

Shoes! This past year, building a shoe a collection has been a priority. I found the perfect shoe style for me in the J.Crew Elsie pump. These pumps, always available in a fresh new style, are an easy-to-wear height for me (3 1/2″), have a sexy silhouette, and fit my fickle feet comfortably. Elsie pumps, however, start at $275, a price I’m not willing to pay. Luckily, J.Crew loves a good sale on sale. I wait for markdowns, which usually make the shoes eligible for as much as an additional 50% off the reduced prices.

Jewelry! Fancy baubles are favorites of mine. I love brands like Kendra Scott and Kate Spade. These stores do host amazing sales occasionally. I found some of my favorite pieces, though, like the Kate Spade necklace shown below, at off-price stores. I purchased that necklace at over 80% off.

Belt it! This fall has been all about celebrating the hourglass figure, and a fancy belt is a fabulous way to cinch that waist. My favorite place for finding belts is Anthroplogie. Those prices though? They’re usually high. But, as usual, these prices always come down. Anthropologie has even been hosting more Anthro days this season that offer additional discounts.
