Business On Top, Party on The Bottom

The holiday season places major demands on our wardrobes. Get-together here. Party over there. It seems like there’s always some kind of event to get dressed up for. To meet all these style demands without breaking the bank, I take some of my go-to wardrobe basics and add a little holiday flair to them.

My classic red blazer, an item I wear all year round, easily becomes holiday party-ready when paired with right-on-trend faux-leather leggings. Any “dressy” bottom, from a textured pencil skirt to sequin leggings, would look festive and fabulous when paired with a classic blazer.

Accessorizing a combination like this one is especially important. Recognizing that, I reached for a few of my favorite pieces, including a pearl tassel necklace by Collections by Joya. This handmade necklace features freshwater pearls along a 24kt gold plated chain complete with an ivory tassel. It’s light and airy, but such a standout. The best part though? Proceeds from its sales benefit women’s charities around the world.

Here’s a closer look at the freshwater pearls and the tassel. The details. The details. The pearl tassel necklace is shown below with the Kendra Scott “Odette” ring and a Loeffler Randall clutch (over 60% off).

My floral Sophia Webster pumps are the perfect finishing touch. The color and print blend in seamlessly.

Following Economy of Style on Instagram? I shared this sneak peek of today’s post there yesterday.

Have a wonderful weekend!
