I respect the stylistic powers of neutrals. They go well with just about everything. Grey. Beige. White. Sometimes, a look just calls for one of these neutral hues. This summer, olive green has emerged as the go-to neutral. No surprise either. Olive tones beautifully with other neutrals and blends well with all the other “It” colors of the season.

I’m wearing olive green with olive green. This monotone look is made interesting by the use of different textures, silky pleats and eyelet.
By the way, there’s no need to pack up your olive green pieces at the end of summer because according to Pantone, the color will be huge this fall as well.
Today’s olive green combination provides the perfect backdrop to emphasize my favorite bold gold jewelry. My Kendra Scott Finley fringe necklace (have you seen the new, stunning Margot necklace?) and Hagan bangle pop against the green.
These images were taken in an alley near my house. I was drawn to this wall because the faded, hand-painted ad looks artsy and is a cool throwback to another time. It’s a Coca Cola ad. Ghost signs like these are all over St. Louis. Remember the one in my Smile post?

Indeed, Anne! I really loved your post about pairing army green with blue. I'll be doing that soon.
