Matchy-Matchy: Wearing Coordinated Prints

Sometimes when it’s nice, you’ve got to do it twice. J.Crew’s midnight floral print, a leafy floral pattern the store adapted from a vintage dress, is one of my favorite prints produced by the brand recently. There’s just something special about the abstract print set in an unusual combination of fuchsia ad blue.

Tee—J.Crew (on sale in-store)

Skirt—℅ eShakti (old) | Gap option

Shoes—J.Crew (now on sale)

Scarf—J.Crew

Earrings—House of Harlow

Rings—Gorjana Teagan ring, J.Crew orb ring

Watch—Michael Kors

Lip—Mac “Flat Out Fabulous” lipstickMac “Heroine” lip pencil

Blush—NYX powder blush in mocha

When I said I loved this midnight floral print, I was serious, y’all. I now own three pieces in the print even though I usually avoid purchasing multiples in the same style or print. If I woke up one day and hated this print, I would be screwed! I couldn’t resist, though, especially at the marked down prices. Also, the opportunities to produce looks with coordinated prints excited me.

In today’s look, matching scarf and pumps add finishing touches to a tee and full skirt combo. The result? A mixed matched, coordinated print situation that works. Take a closer look at the prints below.
