A few years ago when peplum was dominating fashion trends, I was convinced that the style just wasn’t for me. Peplum cuts claimed to be universally flattering because they help create the desirable hourglass silhouette. Every time I tried on a peplum top, though, I hated it. I declared, then, that peplum wasn’t for me, that is, until I found my first perfect peplum top (see that top in yesterday’s post), a top that flares out just at the right spot to create a flattering silhouette.
While in Anthropologie recently, I found another perfect peplum top. If you thought that peplum’s reign was over, this top proves otherwise. Picture a perfect flare, a scalloped hem, and a right-on-trend open back detail. This top is just perfect. Things only got better when the top went on sale. It’s now $39.95 (orig. $68).
