Mixxer Exchange, a St. Louis group dedicated to uniting fashion and beauty enthusiasts in the area, held its 3rd annual networking event last Saturday. The event was such a hit that I can’t wait for the 4th annual event. The expo brought designers, hairstylists, makeup artists, boutique owners, and others together to celebrate artistry in the Lou.
Central to Mixxer Exchange’s mission is giving back to the community. So, proceeds from the event benefitted the St. Louis Crisis Nursery, a 24-hour safe haven committed to preventing child abuse and neglect in our region. Sephora, one of the event’s generous sponsors, also donated $4000 to the Crisis Nursery.
The highlight of my night was getting an exclusive glimpse at Shan Keith‘s latest designs. Shan Keith recently competed on Project Runway: Under The Gunn, Lifetime’s newest fashion competition series. Of course, I was rooting for him because he’s an amazingly talented designer who happens to hail from St. Louis. VIP guests at the event were treated to a special preview of Keith’s collection. Below are a few of my favorite designs. Hello beautiful prints!
Shan Keith was also in the house, happily greeting guests and entertaining questions about his collection and his experiences with Tim Gunn. Here I am, totally thrilled, meeting Shan Keith.
This year’s event had a special focus on makeup and skin care. Lakysha Jeffries, held a live skin care demonstration. I learned so much from her session, from how long to wash my face to the types of products to keep in my regimen. Nettie Kelley followed doing a live makeover using products from her new collection. From Nettie’s preference to start a face by working on the eyes to her favorite products, I spent the entire session taking notes.
This event made Mixxer Exchange’s mission of uniting fashion and beauty enthusiasts in St. Louis a reality. Everyone who attended left more knowledgable, motivated, and connected than before they arrived. Here are a few other highlights from the night:

So happy to hear that translated in the images, Chiara. There was so much inspiration at this event.
Looks like a fun event! Please share some of the skincare tips you received…thanks 🙂
It was so much fun, Kim. One of the skincare tips I remember is that we should wash our faces for at least a minute.
I wish I had gone – looks like an incredibly talented group!
You definitely have to catch it next year, Yasmin. There were so many talented people in the building.
This place is probably my favorite place to organize an event; large enough to fit a good amount of guests and small enough that you really feel like you're having a intimate event.
I totally understand why you love the RAC. Such a nice venue.
