If you follow Economy of Style on Facebook, you may have seen my announcement of the major sale in Macy’s last weekend. The store’s Impulse brands were discounted, plus there were sale-on-sale offers and an applicable wow pass for even deeper discounts.
I shopped Macy’s at the St. Louis Galleria and found a hip MADE Fashion Week dress. The dress is a pullover style with mixed prints, a high neckline, and gathered details at the front. Its coolest feature is the peek-a-boo detail in the back. The dress retails for $89, but was available for $34 during the sale.
Here’s how I wore the MADE dress to brunch last Sunday:
Dress—MADE Fashion Week for Impulse via Macy’s
Camisole—Old Navy | similar
Bag—Coach
Booties—Sam Edelman via Marshalls
Earrings—Kendra Scott
Watch—Michael Kors via TJ Maxx | similar
Bracelets—Vince Camuto, Stella & Dot
this is a beautiful dress; love the look and your style.
Thanks, Nylse!
Beautiful-fitting dress on you – I like the cut and fit on it too!
Thanks, Lisa! It was an instant attraction. I'm quite fond of this entire collection.
So cute dress.

Thanks, Lulu!
oh! I would have styled it the exact same way, right down to the purse. I hope they have coupons out again this weekend coz right now the dress is $65:(
How cool! Macy's will definitely some sort of sale back. I was surprised to see the price go back to $65. Ouch!
I just saw this dress in macys n' was unsure about it! Well since it looks so good on you I might go back n' get it! lol

Definitely check it out again, C.Michelles! The details and fit of the dress won me over instantly.
How would you say the sizing of this line runs??
Hey MichelleM: I did try on a few items in the collection and it seems to run true-to-size overall. For reference, I'm wearing a size small in this dress. The shorts were small on me, but I'm heavier on the bottom and often have to size up. It looks like I would need an 8 in the shorts (that size wasn't available for me to actually try, but the 6 was a tad tight).
I like the subtle slit on the upper back and the way the gold jewelry looks with this.
That opening in the back is so coo, right, Kristian!?!? Thanks for stopping by!
