Say My Name, Say My Name

oNecklace, an international jewelry manufacturer specializing in customized name necklaces, recently created a “Psyche” necklace for me.  I was so excited to receive one of these necklaces because nameplate necklaces were extremely popular where I’m from and have become quite trendy.  We all remember how Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City skillfully sported her name necklace with everything from a white tank to an evening gown.

I chose a 24K gold plated bold print name necklace on a 16 inch box chain.  oNecklace, however, offers tons of ways to customize your perfect piece of jewelry.  There’s a metal choice—gold plated, gold, silver, or white gold.  There are chain link options—box or rolo—and chain length options ranging from 14 inches to 22 inches.  The biggest decision, though, is the style of your name, and there are almost 50 text styles and finishes to choose from.

The cost of a customized necklace varies based on metal choice.  Gold plated necklaces are usually $59.95, but are marked down right now during a current promotion.  Necklaces ship for free and are delivered within 7 to 14 business days after placing an order.  My shipment arrived just under 14 days.

I’ve been sporting my “Psyche” necklace all weekend.  At Starbucks, when a barista asked the spelling of my name, I simply pointed to my chain.  For the first time in a while, Starbucks spelled my name correctly on my cup.  Added bonus of an oNecklace.  Just saying.

Hey Psyche! I love your necklace!!! How big is the the plate?

Hey Laura. My name plate is about 1 1/2 inches wide and about 1/3 inch high. The size varies with the style you choose and the length of your name.

Love this post! How has the gold plating held up? Has it tarnished and do you clean it?

Thanks, Kami. Yes, the plating has held up well with good care. I never get my plated items wet. Never. I have done lightweight cleaning with a soft cloth only.
