Saint Louis Fashion Week Opens with a Bang

Saint Louis Fashion Week (STLFW) started with a bang last night!  If that opening event, held at Three Sixty, the scenic rooftop bar at the downtown Hilton, signals the standard of what’s to come during STLFW this fall, I’m even more excited than I was before.

The evening began with a cocktail party featuring special drinks provided by Pinnacle Vodka, Skinny Girl, and Beck’s Sapphire, and also a wide selection of appetizers provided by Three Sixty.  The St. Louis Fashion Blog Awards immediately followed the cocktail party.  I’m so thrilled to tell you that I won the best budget blog award!  I was both the official winner and the people’s choice winner.  Thank you so much for voting for me!  It means so much!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Wanna see what I wore?  I opted for an African-inspired look last night.  I had a high-waist, full skirt with a fresh African print made during my stint in NYC last week.  I paired the skirt with a basic black top.  The outfit was finished by an African-esque collar necklace by Vince Camuto, red pumps, and a metallic gold clutch.

Top—W118 by Walter Baker via TJ Maxx

Skirt—Custom-made by Yara African Fabrics

Shoes—Target

Earrings—Kate Spade | similar

Necklace—Vince Camuto via TJ Maxx | option

Rings—Vince Camuto via Nordstrom Rack | similar

Watch—Michael Kors | similar

Clutch—Vintage via eBay (seen before here)

Here are a few photos from the event last night featuring fellow bloggers—Cassie of Style Cassentials, Julia of Oh, Julia Ann, Holly of MintJulep87, Lorena of Garnets and Sapphires, Yasmin of Bangles and Bungalows, and Rachael of Style Every Day.

Fall into Fashion at the St. Louis Galleria is next on the schedule!  I’ll see you there, St. Louis.
