You know that you’ve got a classic wardrobe item when year after year you can reach for it and it looks just as fresh as the first time you wore it. My houndstooth print jacquard dress by Max and Cleo is one of those classics. I purchased this dress in preparation for teaching in the fall semester back in 2010. Every fall (and some springs) since then, I’ve worn the houndstooth dress and it’s always right on trend.
By the way, this is the same dress I transformed into a peplum top in a recent post. So, it’s versatile too. In today’s post, the dress gets to just be a dress.

Over the last few months, I’ve been making deliberate efforts to photograph various spaces in my Tower Grove neighborhood. My neighborhood is rapidly developing and some of my photographs capture these changes as they unfold. Remember that abandoned building in the Stripes and Colorblock post? It got a facelift!
