Black, White, and a Bright

Today’s professional look taps into the black and white trend with a polka dot and houndstooth mix.  I attempted a similar print mix before, pairing the same skirt with a stripe top.  See that outfit in Mixing Prints: A Work Look Inspired by Mondo Guerra.

The combo of black and white provides an ideal backdrop for brights.  In this look, turquoise earrings and a kelly green bag add splashes of Spring color.

I’m linking with Mix and Match Fashion for the What I Wore to Work challenge today.

Love at first sight.  I spotted this Michael Kors Selma satchel on recently
and immediately added it to my ‘watch list.’  When Macy’s launched its VIP sale last
week, one of its few sales that includes designer bags, I had to visit the bag in
person.  The color is vibrant (a much richer green than this photo displays).
The size and silhouette is perfect.  The saffiano leather is luxe-looking.  There’s no I
was leaving Macy’s without one of these bags 🙂
