Thrifted Threads: A $2 Vintage Tweed Blazer

Today’s post features a jacket I purchased at a $1-$2 vintage sale last year.  This tweed jacket, a steal at $2, was my favorite purchase at that vintage sale.  The jacket is in impeccable condition, especially for an item that was made between 1955 and 1974.  It’s overall style evokes timeless chic.

For today’s outfit, I decided to play up the black and cream colors in the jacket by pairing it with a houndstooth dress with similar colors.  Since the jacket has a boxy silhouette, I belted it for waist definition.  I also cuffed the sleeves and popped the collar on the jacket to make it look a little hipper.
