Price Cuts on Target + Neiman Marcus Collection

Last night, on my way home from the gym, I stopped by Target (conveniently located right across the street) and noticed that prices on the Target + Neiman Marcus collection items had been cut by 50%!  We can do business now, Tarjay.  At 50% off, the prices make $ense.

I loved the look of the Marc Jacobs pouches online and in person, but $70?  Hell to the no.  That price was too high!  $35 though?  Much More reasonable.

I purchased a rose gold Marc Jacobs pouch.  It’s the perfect holiday accessory.  I envision myself rocking this metallic pouch day and night for the rest of the holiday season.  This is how I’m wearing it today.

Marc Jacobs pouch in rose gold. $69.99 $34.99

Jacket—The Limited ($20 on clearance, orig. $118)
Tee—H&M | similar
Jeans—c/o Dress Barn (old)
Bracelets—Forever 21
Watch—Michael Kors tortoiseshell watch via Nordstrom Rack
Bag—Marc Jacobs for Target

What about you?  Does a 50% price cut make you more interested in the Target + Neiman Marcus collection?

Update:  See how I wore the Proenza Schouler sweatshirt from the same collection.

I heard that! Let me know what catches your eye this time around 🙂

Since it is a holiday collection I bet the prices will REALLY be off the chain on the 26th or 27th. Nobody has really bought from it here so there should be stuff left.

Right! I'm excited to see what may happen to the prices in the next few days because my stores still have lots of inventory.

I'm definitely more interested because I really thought the collection was a bit too expensive. Thanks for this tip!

No prob! Yes, Target surely made a pricing blunder, but the store is beginning to make it right 🙂

I'm with you all – I looked at the Target/NM stuff, but for the price point, I didn't think the stuff was nice enough. Not when I can go on eBay and buy vintage high-end designer items for the same price or less.

I mean, why buy a faux fur piece that looks kind of shoddy, when you can get a real vintage fur that is still in beautiful condition, for the same price?

But half off… I am going to revisit Target very soon…

So true, Mary Beth. The opportunity cost of the original price-point was too high.

We shared the same sentiments. $70 was much too expensive for that clutch, but with the price cut I picked one up. I can't wait to carry mine this weekend.

Good for you! I just know you're enjoying your new clutch.

I went in there and brought the Thermos, Shot Glasses, and A Writing Pad set. I wanted the 4 gold trim glasses and glass drink shaker so bad but I went home for the reviews and they weren't that great but I still want it because it's pretty.

It's funny you mentioned the gold trim glasses and drink shaker. I wanted those so badly, but the negative reviews changed my mind too. If the prices drop lower, I may still get them though.
