Casual Friday

Since it’s Friday the 13th, I thought it would be a great idea to quell any potential fears of the supposed unlucky day by fearlessly rocking a somewhat new style for myself.  Today’s look is a little bit boho, a style I’ve always admired on others, but not myself.

Inspiration for this look comes from a new skirt purchase.  It’s a long, flowing, bright purple skirt by Laundry by Shelli Segal.  Can you say instant attraction?  I’ve never even owned a long, flowing skirt.

Tank—Gap
Skirt—Laundry by Shelli Segal via Marshalls (recent purchase) (similar)
Belt—Michael Kors via Marshalls (similar)
Jacket—Gap Outlet (similar)
Shoes—Michael Kors via Marshalls
Bag—Borough Vintage
Earrings—Kendra Scott “Nyla”
Watch—Michael Kors via TJ Maxx

Extra:  I’m so excited about all the new and affordable jewelry options for those of us with sensitive skin.  Y’all know I’m fond of Kendra Scott and Amrita Singh jewelry because the jewelry is fashionable and plated with 14KT gold, making it safe for me to wear.

I would love to have a long necklace to sport with the above look, and I found the perfect necklace on hautelook today!

Hautelook is currently running a sale, which ends tomorrow, on Morgan Ashleigh jewelry.  This jewelry line is also 14KT gold plated and very chic.  I purchased the necklace with the white pendant below for just $28 (retail: $60)!

Check out the other Morgan Ashleigh pieces on hautelook.

Have a wonderful weekend!

The colour of your skirt is amazing. I have never ever owned a long skirt of that kind (only a couple of "hippier", Ibiza-style ones). I've been wanting to get a pastel-coloured pleated maxiskirt, but I'm not 100% sure. I might so it, though 😛

I think the long skirt looks gorgeous on you. I know that the first couple of times I try a new style, it always feels a bit strange, but I'll bet you get used to this look and fast.
