When shopping the Jason Wu for Target collection recently, I was interested in the jersey dress with the red and navy stripes, but ultimately passed on it. Of course, y’all know I purchased the poplin dress in navy.
I passed on the stripe jersey dress because I’ve noticed that I get stuck in the pattern of purchasing dresses like that one, but not wearing them. I immediately thought about a stripe BCBG Max Azria jersey dress that I purchased last August. You see, that dress has been hibernating in my closet since.
So, for today’s Looking Back, Looking Forward, I thought it would be a cool “wear what ya got” challenge to pull out that dress and make it work right now. Here’s the look:
Dress—BCBG Max Azria via eBay
Cardigan—c/o Liz Claiborne for jcpenney
Boots—b.o.c. Born Concepts via DSW
Bag—Vintage via Borough Vintage
For a look back at a summer style outfit with the same dress, visit Summer Style in an eBay find.
What items are hibernating in your closet, but deserve to come out?
It works really well 🙂
you're giving me color inspo for tomorrow. I have a pretty cobalt blue dress that I haven't worn yet and a dark red cardigan (wish I had a coral one like yours!). MAYBE they will work together… I'm going to try it tonight and see. 🙂
Loved your blog and all your looks!…
Lots of really nice tips to follow… right here from Angola!

Very nice! I have a hot pink t-shirt dress that I've been itching to wear with a black cardigan, black tights and black boots. Having to dig it out of my summer clothes storage has been the main deterrent to that outfit, but maybe I'll dig it up this weekend, your outfit is really inspiring me. 🙂
