This fall, lace is an oh-so-hot trend. The popularity of lace is no surprise because it’s so sophisticated, and more importantly, timeless.
All the love for lace this fall has prompted me to pull out my lace dress. It’s an eyelet Tahari dress that I bought in 2008 (see Looking Back, Looking Forward for details on the purchase). This sheath dress has stylish details like puff sleeves, a buttoned down front, and an embroidered eyelet—a chic floral cutout—over a white silky liner.
For a work look, the dress is belted and worn with classic pointed toe wedges. A red cardigan provides a chic coverup.
Dress—Tahari via Marshalls
Belt—Michael Kors via TJ Maxx
Shoes—Nine West via Macy’s
Cardigan—Loft
Love it!!!!!

Fabulous. Love the shape of it; a lot of the lace dresses now are form-fitting, which makes them less appropriate for work. This one is more structured. Big thumbs up!
I'm loving the look! That color combo is my fav!
Love that fabulous lace dress. So pretty! I haven't visited Marshall's lately, but now I think I should!
@LocalCeleb: Thanks! It is an old favorite! I love when I get excited about it again.
@Sara B.C.: Thanks! That classic combination is always a safe bet, right?
@Krsiten: Thanks. Ironically, I am always concerned about sheaths because they often don't work well with my hips. This one has continued to fit through several body changes of mine.
@Mae: You can always fall back to the classics…
@Lydia: No doubt! Marshalls is must stop for sure.
This is cute too! Can I come raid your closet? 🙂 lol
