Inspiration from H&M

On my sick day yesterday, I somehow managed to stumble into a mall.  I made three quick stops and one was at H&M.  I was drawn into the H&M store in the St. Louis Galleria because the mannequins were styling and profiling in beautiful combinations of black, white, and teal (a shade that H&M is calling ‘petrol’).

I liked the visual merchandising so much that I tried on a few things I saw.

H&M blazer (petrol), size 6.  $34.95

H&M cardigan (petrol), size XS.  $24.95

H&M dress, size S.  $17.95
I love this dress and the price!  This silhouette, though,
isn’t very flattering on me.  In side profiles, I look pregnant.

I purchased the cardigan because I thought it would pair well with my leggings, pencil skirts, and sheath dresses.   Here’s a look inspired by the displays I spotted in H&M yesterday.

Camisole—OldNavy

Cardigan—H&M

Skirt—The Limited
Belt—Hobo International via Marshalls

Shoes—DVF Diane Von Furstenberg via Century 21

Pearls—Overstock

Watch—MICHAEL Michael Kors via TJ Maxx

@Jane: Nice, right? The blazer isn't a knit, but it is textured. It is fully lined too.
