Dressing Down a Sheath Dress

Today’s post is this week’s Looking Back, Looking Forward.  It was reschedule due to the launch of our Fabulous Beauty Freebies Giveaway.  Have you entered yet by the way?

If I had a signature work look, it would definitely comprise a sheath dress.  I love sheaths because they are figure-molding, easy to wear, and most importantly, timeless.  With these types of qualities, I’m willing to spend more on sheaths.  I purchased the dress featured today in TJ Maxx for $69.99 (retail $238) and I’ve worn it so many times that the cost-per-wear has got to be approaching zero.

Here are some of my favorite ways to wear this sheath:

  1. How to Jazz Up a Work Outfit with a Scarf
  2. Business Travel
  3. Black Sheath Dress, Unlimited Possibilities

Sometimes, though, I don’t feel like “dressing-up” for work.  On those days, I still reach for my favorite sheaths and style them casually.  Here’s how I make the black Tahari sheath less dressy.

I would say my signature piece for the office are my pencil skirts. I love the different ways to dress them up!
