Reviving Two More Summer Knit Dresses

Last week, I was able to save what I thought was a clearance purchase mistake.  See how I did that in Simple Updates for a Basic Knit Summer Dress.

After some routine closet assessments, I noticed that I have a couple more summer knit dresses that I don’t wear as often as I could.

The first dress featured in this post does not even need much help because it is quite chic on its own.  It has a sexy halter top, a flattering shirred empire waist, and standout crisscross straps in the back.

Perhaps I haven’t found the right occasions to wear it?  So, I fixed that situation by wearing it to the dentist two days ago.  Yes, the dentist.  Sparkling teeth deserve to be accompanied by a sharp dress, right?

The bag is totally just a prop in this photo.  This bag is one of
those that I have to get rid of because of allergies.

The second knit dress is a red, empire waist dress by Max Studio.  I have had it for over a year.  I am certain it has shrunk because it  is much shorter and more clingy than I remember.  I think I can be much more comfortable wearing it topped by a jacket.  So, that’s what I’ll do.

That first dress is so pretty, love the detail at the top. And why do you have to get rid of the bag? It's so cute.

To the DENTIST?! I LOVE IT! I used to be that way…dressing "up" for any reason that I had to leave the house. Thanks for reminding me that it's okay to look fabulous no matter what…and you do look fabulous in both dresses, by the way!

I overdress for errands too (yes, I am that person who wears five inch heels to a teeth cleaning). 🙂

LOVE that first dress on you, it's simple but you wear it well!

@Laura: We definitely agree on that one 🙂

@Sing: I totally see why I loved it in the beginning. The bag has beautiful brass handles that unfortunately I cannot touch. I found it in a wonderful vintage store in St. Louis.

@Kish: We will make it totally okay 🙂 My life in KY has not been very glamorous, but I still want to wear my clothes. Ha!

    @Elle: Love it!

    Thanks @Nylse!!

Thanks @Life as Leah! It was a cool coincidence that the beads on the bag had those rosy colors. Accidentally chic!

Thanks for stopping by @Andie!! I, too, love the bag still. That's why i still have it even though I can't use it…argh…

The halter sold the dress to me @Shasie! Nice, right?

Hahaha @Jill! You gotta move quickly. Stock days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Lexington stores. You know I asked.

How nice @Annie: The staff at my dentist's office is so gracious with compliments too. They love talking about what I wear.

Hahahaha @MissRockwell! No problem! Dresses are so easy. One piece and your done.

Thanks @Kristen! It so easy to wear too!

Thanks for coming by @Capis! Missed you!

    Will do fore sure @Mad14kt
