Spring Break Style IV

More stripes.  This stripe dress, though, may be my favorite. It features a flowing skirt and drapey overlapping detail on the front.

I bought it last year to wear to a wedding rehearsal dinner. I was even willing to pay the full price of $98 for it (because it was a last minute purchase before jetting off to a destination wedding). Luckily, a sales associate surprised me with an unanticipated 20% off discount. The dress has certainly earned its keep because the cost per wear continues to shrink as I regularly pull for it from my closet.

Today, the dress anchors a casual, St. Patrick’s Day look. It is worn with a green, short-sleeved cardigan and black peep-toe wedges.

Dress—Ann Taylor
Cardigan—Loft
Belt—Dooney & Bourke via Apres Vous (local resale shop)
Shoes—Tahari via Marshalls

Since we are going green today, I thought I would check to see if anyone else has been lusting after the Cole Haan Vintage Valise tote. I have been secretly hoping that nobody buys the bag, creating an overstock, so that the off-price retail goddesses could swoop in and make it available to bargain shoppers.  No such luck though.  I think it has sold out already.

I have been trying to find a short sleeve cardigan for awhile now. I'm loving the green one here.

Thanks @Andi! You know, I often overlook Ann Taylor as well. The current collections are not that interesting, yet the prices are sky high. So, you'll find me in the Loft.

@Anon: Isn't it gorgeous? That $428 is certainly steep.

@Barsola: I got this one last year. The Loft has already released a few short sleeved cardis though. I suspect you'll have many choices this spring.

Thanks @Kristina! I hope you get a spring break soon. Mine is almost over 🙂
