So, I am not quite sure if it is a good thing that there is a Marshalls right behind my gym. I workout at my gym five days a week and have the desire to “stop in” the nearby Marshalls five days a week. I go there so often that the young workers there say things like, “it’s good to see you again,” or “you are going to love these new shoes that we put out today.”
This particular Marshalls store gets new inventory on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Yes, I did ask. So, when I stopped in today after my 9 am workout, there were lots of new goodies.
Check out what I bought.
Tahari Gibson flat. I love the two-toned shoe trend. These Tahari flats exude the same classic elegance of the famous Chanel pair, but at a mere fraction of the cost.
MICHAEL Michal Kors Fulton flat. In this tobacco color, these flats are the perfect neutral shoe. They will balance all the bold colors and prints I plan to sport this spring and summer.
I had a really nice pair from BR that I literally wore the soles off of. The BR shoes can finally rest in peace.
Coach Caper Patent flat. This hot pink pair is fabulous, but I may return them for two reasons.
(1) They look a tad bulky on my feet.
(2) More importantly, my SE Boutique magenta flats are good substitutes; so, this Coach pair does not add much value to my wardrobe.
There's nothing wrong with stopping in Marshalls everyday…what if you missed out on a great deal?
The Michael Kors shoes are great! A lovely addition to any closet!
I Love the Taharis!!! What a shame about the Coach flats, they look super cute! I am always shopping on a budget as well, do you mind sharing the average price of shoes like that at Marshall's? I haven't been in one in a very long time!
You are so right @April 🙂
@Life as Leah, the Taharis are my favorite too! I don't mind sharing the prices at all. The Tahari shoes (and similar brands like Ellen Tracy) are $39.99. The MK shoes are $49.99. The Coach flats are $79.99.
This particular Marshalls had such a great selection of shoes today–BCBG, Max Studio, etc
Love the splurge.
This is such an inspiration for spring.
Those taharis are so great!!!!
Lucky girl having so many options….
Hope all is great with you, lovely.
Have a nice working week.
xoxo
Those Tahari's are outstanding. I am going to swing by my Marshalls and see if they are carrying them too. (Unlikely, but worth checking!)
@The Lady Girl: I feel the same way. I woke up today wanting to dress in spring styles.
@The Seeker: Hey my friend! I am doing well! I hope all is well with you.
@Kristen: It is quite interesting how the inventory trickles into some stores and not others. I stopped by the Marshalls closest to my house and it was like a chic shoe ghost town. I mean…nothing!
Did You return the Coach Caper Flats? I just picked these up Sunday too. After going back and forth and passing these shoes up twice at two different marshalls! I figure if they were still available in my size: 9.5, which is rare for Coach in my size to last that long in marshalls, it must have been meant for me to buy them. I am interested to see how you will wear them!
@Anonymous: I did return them. The rationale for your purchase was so fascinating by the way. I use the same reasoning all the time 🙂 The Coach Caper is a really beautiful shoe!!! I am even having some returner's remorse. It is not beyond me to return something and re-buy it though. Ha!
Love the Taharis! I bought the same pair yesterday: same place, same price. I didn't know they were based off of Chanel's. Now I like them more, esp. with all the compliments I've gotten already.
I love all of these flats I actually saw these at marshalls yesterday but they didn't have my size! Sold out fast luckily I found the micheal kors online! Do you mind telling me if they fit true to size? Usually Kors flats run a bit big
Thanks;)

@Cordelia Elle: Yes, there is a very similar pair from Chanel. I must say that I like the Tahari style and the price (no doubt) better. I hope you are enjoying your new shoes!
@Joey101: That's too bad that your size was out, but I am glad you found them online. I've found this fulton flat to fit true to size. I usually wear an 8 and the size 8 fit perfectly.
Will you be posting more blogs like this !! I love it thanks;)
@Joey101: I shop a lot, so I can certainly do more shopping hauls if there is interest. So, lookout for more then!
Since you mentioned the gym I'm guessing you shop at the Marshall's "near my house" vs the Hamburg location. I always forget it's over there since I never really drive up in that shopping center any more…but with your cute shoes I think I need to stop by 🙂
@Jill: That is the one! I workout at the LAC. Most of my favorite Marshalls finds have been in that particular store near your house. FYI, a lot of the designer shoes have not been moving, so they marked the prices down. For example the Coach shoes were marked down to $59.99 the last time I checked. You should stop in…
Since you mentioned sizing of the MK flats, I wonder what you think about the Gibson flats? I'm usually a 8-8.5. I tried on the 7.5, wanting them to fit so badly! But walking all day in them would be miserable. Found something similar online, but wonder if I should get 8 or 8.5. They are final sale (and more than at Marshalll's), so I need to get it right the first time. Thanks!
Hey Mindi. I usually wear a size 8, and I've been comfortably wearing a size 8 in all of my Michael Kors shoes except the thong sandals (I purchased 8.5).
There's only one MK flat that I've had sizing problems with–a fulton flat from about 3 years ago. I had to size down to 7.5 and it was so uncomfortable that I returned them.
If the 7.5 almost worked, I say go for the 8's. Good luck!!
Since you mentioned sizing of the MK, I wondered what you think about the Gibsons. I'm usually 8-8.5. Found some online but not sure what size to get. 7.5 was too short at tjmaxx. But not sure how much more room I need. Any help for me?
