Colored Tights Update a Simple Work Dress

New fashion risks.  I have decided to plunge into the colored tights trend that up until now, I have only admired on others.

I got the purple pair featured in today’s post in a pack of two (the other one is a black textured pair) at TJ Maxx ($9.99).

In today’s look, I paired one of my more boring work dresses, a black ponte knit dress by Calvin Klein, with the purple tights and added a print scarf.  Still intimidated by the bright legwear, though, I chose to only let them peak out over my black boots.

It's cute. You've inspired me to go out and buy some colored tights. I too will wear with boots…baby steps 😉

I want more colored tights. I've done purple and teal, now I want some magenta ones and dark green ones.

I have only worn dark brown and black…but the purple ones you are wearing look terrific with your outfit.
    Will give them a try…maybe!

@Just us Two and @Soho500: I had a lot of fun wearing these and had only worn black and brown before now too. They are really growing on me.

@Sing: I have been admiring teal tights on others. A teal pair might be my next buy.

I would feel most comfortable in the colored tights and boots.

I love how you perked up that lovely, simple dress with a bit of color… you look funky and fun, but still classy.

I've seen other bloggers take it way too far, and they start looking like crazy women!

@beautynapps, We are on the same page with that one.

Thanks @lawyerdoll. This was as far as I could take it (for now at least) and still feel comfortable at work.
