One distinctive look. This summer, I found myself reaching for the same style over and over again—the shirt dress. I went everywhere in a shirt dress. I traveled. I worked. I shopped. I dined. All in a shirt dress.
Today’s post features one of my favorite summer looks. A chambray shirt dress with a shirttail hem and rolled sleeves is accented by a canvas belt. Tan peep-toe pumps complete the casual chic outfit. Of course, on a typical day, I would be wearing flats.

I am still looking for the perfect shirt dress. Love the looks you have been posting.
I love the shirtdress as well, I have a couple variations. Right now I am falling in love with the cowl-neck sweater dress for fall/winter!!
Nice look! I have been wearing shirtdresses too, but I have a big rump (which I fully embrace), so I prefer to wear them with leggings.
Anon: Thanks. Good luck with your search. I bought mine in the Spring, but I will keep an eye out for some new styles and possibly follow-up.
Valerie: Me too! I have spotted some really chic cowl-neck sweater dresses by Max Studio and Calvin Klein in Marshalls recently too.
Mae: "I have a big rump (which I fully embrace)." I totally love that, Mae! I am bottom heavy too and my body has very much shaped my style. I mostly wear dresses and skirts because they are easier to fit and usually flattering. I, too, love leggings now!
