Business Casual?

Argh. I am not a fan of dress codes especially the popular business casual. What does that even mean? What I do know is that I need a look for an upcoming event that is sleek, professional, comfortable, and that will transition from day sessions to an evening reception. With such an extensive list of needs, the only conclusion could be I need something new, right?

After scouting a few looks, a JAX Sleeveless Printed Jacquard Dress stood out to me as it satisfied all the requirements. But, before making a special purchase just for this event, I decided to explore options in my wardrobe first. I found this classic sheath dress with updated features like puff sleeves, and a buttoned down front. Could it be versatile enough for this event? I think so.

P.S. I might still get that JAX dress in the near future though 🙂

The addition of the belt takes this dress out of the everyday realm. Nicely done. I remember this one from an earlier post.

I like the JAX dress: it’s a classic you can use forever. Perfect silhouette for your shape, too.
