Looking Back, Looking Forward

Tan, tan, tan. I think there is nothing more classic, versatile, and elegant than a tan handbag. The perfect tan bag will take you anywhere—from work to play. I wear this neutral color bag with any color, even black.

These styles from my collection make great everyday handbags. They are durable, leather, and large enough to hold the daily essentials.

  1. MICHAEL Michael Kors via Ebay
  2. Via Spiga via Marshalls
  3. Gap (Sum ’03)
  4. Marina Rinaldi via family member

This Marc by Marc Jacobs Softy Colorblock Sloane bag is my new tan bag obsession. I love the shape of the Sloane bag. And, I find the colorblocked pebbled leather absolutely delightful. The reviews have been mixed with folks either hating it or loving it, no middle ground. I may not consider this bag splurge-worthy, but if it magically appeared in a nearby Marshalls, I would buy it.

Nooooooo, no more purses. I just bought a tan bag on the clearance rack at Target last night. But after seeing your pics, I think I am gonna head back out to Ross to get this other tanish/yellow bag I had my eye and another tan bag at Marshalls. Sigh…

I agree in fact you’ve inspired me to get another large tan bag. My concern is buying on ebay, can you get authentic goods?

That M by MJ bag is really great. Chalk me up to the “love it” column.

I think it’s classic and a little menswear inspired if you know what I mean?
I love how you have so many tan bags and manage to love each one and see differences others might not
as women, and specifically fashion bloggers, this is our fortitude!

Wendy B: Finally, someone who likes the colorblock bag. I think it is so gorgeous.

One Eighteen: Yes, it sure is. So unfortunate.

Jewells: HA! You just might have to go back out. Tanish/yellow sounds like a fabulous color!

    Kira Fashion: Thanks, Kira!

Jacqueline: You can certainly find authentic bags on Ebay as well as fakes. I only order items that I
am very familiar with. I look closely at the item in store if possible to identify any indicators of authenticity–embossed logos etc.

Enc: Glad you like the MJ bag. I was beginning to think I was losing it. Hmmm. I actually can’t answer that question (there are too many clutches for me to guess). I will have to do a count and get back to you on that one 🙂

Imelda Matt: Boy do I ever. And, I don’t ever want to be fixed 🙂

Cheryl Lynn: You can say that again. The Via Spiga was such a great Marshalls find. The color and gold hardware make it look like a million bucks.

Dana: So true. They’re each unique and hence serve unique purposes.

Seeker: Thanks! I signed up for Cozy Cot, but I actually haven’t explored the community that much yet.

Always in Style: Thanks. And, right! I love that MJ bag! Glad you do too.
