Nautical-inspired

Totally drenched. Today’s rainy day inspired this sailor look. The outfit is anchored by a classic horizontal stripe camisole. The cami is paired with black trousers, and topped by a three-quarter sleeve denim blazer. The photo is too poor to tell, but the pumps are burgundy. A green print scarf adds a finishing touch.

I like the whole nautical look you have going on. I just stumbled across your blog, and wow you have a very nice sense of style, you’ve asipred me already to step it up a notch at work, cuz sometimes dressing for work can get very mundane and boring, but you manage to keep fresh!!

I like this a lot, but my favorite aspect of it is the green in the scarf.

I wish I could do stripes like this. I always think I want stripes, then I never wear them.

I really like this combination. Great look especially for a rainy day. I mean on a rainy day I just throw on anything like “oh well its raining anyway”. Its a ugly day here Augusta, GA too! But now I know that I should not be a fairweather friend when it comes to having style and looking good.

    Anon: Thanks!

Maggie: I am glad you came by and found some inspiration. You know, now that I post my looks to this blog, I’ve become more committed to dressing up for work.

Enc: That BR scarf is so cool. I want to wear it with everything. And, you can so do stripes!

Sara: Dressing on rainy days is so hard. I usually end up wearing what I don’t mind getting wet 🙂
