I got a fairly warm welcome back to St. Louis following my trip home to St. Kitts. But, winter is showing up and showing out this weekend in the Lou. Cue the winter blues! Talking about blue, classic navy blue is one of the IT colors of the spring. I’m here for that because navy is such a lovely color to anchor a wardrobe.
One of my current favorite navy blue pieces is the Lilly Pulitzer Sanilla dress (see more Lilly styles here). It’s a stunning off-the-shoulder silk dress. I rocked it on vacation, and I can’t wait to wear it all summer long. If you’d like to add some classic navy to your wardrobe right now, check out the curated selection of styles at the end of this post.

Anyone else try to survive winter by keeping your mind on the warmer months ahead? My mind is on spring and summer. And, what better to keep focused than by picturing all the swimsuits we shall be rocking during swimsuit season?
I purchased today’s featured one-piece last year when it was as cold as it is now. It’s never too early to get ready for swim season, right? If you agree, scroll to the end of this post to check out all the one-piece suits I’m already imagining wearing.

Visiting my mom is my favorite reason for going home to St. Kitts. 2018 is already off to a fantastic start, then, because I got to bring in the new year with her. Of course, as style enthusiasts, we seized the opportunity to do another mother daughter style photoshoot (see the last one here). Big shout-out to Lilly Pulitzer for allowing us to celebrate this magical moment in lovely Lilly outfits.

Me: Lilly Pulitzer Myri Romper | Earrings (now on sale)
From browsing old photo albums to talking about the future, I love spending time with my mom. She’s my number one fan, and everyone needs a dose of that kind of love and encouragement from time to time. Am I right?
I’m a huge fan of Lilly’s solid designs (see here and here). But, the Swirling Seadream print is one of my faves because of its happy colors and wavy pattern. The print is available in a variety of styles to suit many style sensibilities.
No surprise, I was drawn to the Myri romper. This short romper with its stunning off-the-shoulder silhouette had me at first sight. My mom, who also loves to show off her clavicle, opted for an off-the-shoulder top that she paired with white skinny pants (shop her pants here).

Happy New Year, my stylish friends! I’m popping in to wish you a happy and prosperous 2018. I’m coming to you today from my favorite place in the world, my home country-St. Kitts. In between beach visits and dips in the pool, I’ve been busy setting new style goals for this year. Read on to find out what they are.
Take More Risks
2017 was an exciting year of embracing style changes. I chopped all my hair off (read all about that here) last year, and that hair change served as a catalyst for notable changes in my overall style. This year, I’d like to be more creative and inventive with my overall style.
Save for the Things I Really Want
At this point of my style journey, my taste has become increasingly discerning. I want very particular things, and I’m willing to pay more for them (read my top 5 tips for saving for what you really want here). This year, I’d like to focus on those special items I envision wearing on repeat.
Wear Even More Color
I love rocking bright and cheerful colors. This year, I want to do that even more. I’m particularly fond of color blocking. Thus, I’d like new purchases to be striking solid pieces to craft the perfect color blocked looks.
Craft a More Sophisticated Style
In general, my style is very casual. I’d like to jazz things up more often throughout the year. I’m excited to start experimenting with those dressier, more sophisticated outfits.

What are your style goals for 2018?
It’s an exciting time to be a fashion enthusiast in St. Louis because there’s so much happening here. And, last Thursday, I got to cohost a VIP party at the newly opened Lilly Pulitzer store in Plaza Frontenac Mall. It was such a cheerful and colorful night that I had to return with some highlights. Thanks so much to everyone who came out. I had a blast partying and shopping with you all.
I had the pleasure of cohosting the evening affair with fellow bloggers, Elena and Danielle. We share a love for Lilly and enjoyed showing off our favorite Lilly styles.

Guests of the event enjoyed food and drinks from Bricktop’s St. Louis. Everything was a hit, especially the cocktails!
DJ Chris Brown kept the mood festive with his wide selection of music mixes. And, he looked dapper in his Lilly men’s tie from the limited edition Guac Out collection. This new collection features pieces for the entire family.
Every single Lilly print is hand painted. So, we were really excited to offer a giveaway of a canvas featuring a one-of-a-kind Lilly print that night. Congrats to the winner of this fabulous prize!

Thanks again to everyone who came out. And, a special thank you to the Lilly Pulitzer team for having me!
