We’re fast approaching the 2019 holiday season! Gather your sequins, velvet, satin, and let’s get ready. I was so excited to learn that #GibsonXHiSugarplum was launching a holiday collection today at Nordstrom. Even more exciting, the entire collection is filled with versatile items that you can mix and match all holiday season long. More bang for your buck! I got a preview of the collection, and today I’m sharing my must-haves.
1. Velvet blazer
Velvet is a huge trend this year. The plush fabric is especially perfect for the holiday season because it always looks elegant, whether you rock it with jeans or faux leather pants. And, what can be smarter choice than a blazer in velvet?
This blazer from the #GibsonXHiSugarPlum is my favorite piece in the entire collection. It’s just made so impeccably well that I don’t understand how it’s only $118. I’m wearing it in a size X-small for a closer fit.

2. Sequins
No doubt, sequins are a festive style choice. What I love most about the trend this year is the freedom to dress sequins up or down. Want to add sparkle to your sweats or jeans? Do it!
With that said, I was instantly drawn to the #GibsonXHiSugarplum ballet sequin top because of its neckline. You know I love to drape a top off the shoulder, and I knew this one would be perfect for that. I got it in a size small to make sure I had wiggle room to mix up the styling.
By the way, these fabulous wide leg pants with the satin waistband? They’re from the #GibsonXHiSugarPlum collection too. You can never go wrong with an updated classic. I’m wearing the pants in an x-small.

3. Satin
Satin is a ideal fabric for eye-catching looks. Want to dress up your pencil skirt, work pants, or even jeans? Add a satin top. The #GibsonXHiSugarplum top is a stunner because of its high-neck and bow back. The best thing about this top, though, is how super comfortable it is. It’s the top you’re going to want to reach for day after day. For reference, I’m wearing it in an x-small.
