Given it’s popularity over the years, it’s very likely you’ve owned an Urban Decay Naked palette or two at some point. That palette achieved cult-favorite status. I really enjoyed getting creative and mastering my own makeup skills with Urban Decay palettes. So, it was shocking when news broke earlier this fall that the original Naked palette would be discontinued. What the what?
Good news is, though, Urban Decay was working on something new, and it’s good. Really good. Last month, Urban Decay dropped the Naked Cherry Collection, which includes a Naked Cherry eyeshadow palette. Will it be permanent and replace the original Naked palette? That’s left to be seen. What I do know is the collection is bomb. I got my hands on the entire thing, so I’m sharing a quick look and early favorites.
The entire Naked Cherry Collection includes the Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette, Naked Cherry Highlighter & Blush Palette, Naked Cherry 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Black Market), Naked Cherry 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Love Drug), a cherry-scented All Nighter Setting Spray, and 3 satin finish Vice Lipsticks in Cherry, Juicy, and Devilish.
The 12 shadow palette is fantastic if you love warm berry hues. I do! I’ve already been experimenting with most of the colors. I’ve been enjoying the perfect spread of shimmers and mattes. As with all Urban Decay shadows, I love how easily they apply and wear.
I prefer matte lippies, so these lipsticks really surprised me because I love ’em. I’ve worn Juicy, a shimmering peachy beige, every day since getting it. The deep cherry red is my second favorite. All in all, these lip colors complement the eye looks you’d create with the palette well.
When I first opened the highlighter/blush palette, I knew immediately I’d love the reddish-coral blush and the shimmering highlighter on the left. I was hesitant, though, about that iridescent complexion topper on the right. It’s the kind of color that can easily look ashy on brown skin. It looks fabulous though!
Here’s an easy look I created using the Naked Cherry Collection. My foundation is Fenty Beauty in 390. The lipstick is Juicy. I’m also wearing that iridescent highlighter. Quite nice, right? As always, I set my makeup with the All Nighter Spray. It’s my go-to setting spray. I will be sticking to the original formula, but the cherry-scented one has a soft cherry scent that’s pleasant.
See how well the collection accents fall’s favorite brown hues here.
Disclosure: Urban Decay provided the entire collection.
