I received a Talbots catalog in the mail recently, and I was blown away by the hip fall styles in fun colors. So, when I heard about the Friends and Family sale, I started wish-listing colorful fall essentials.
It was pretty much a wrap (pun intended), then, when I spotted the Butterscotch yellow wool coat at Talbots. No surprise, I think yellow is a fabulous color for a coat (see my trench here and my moto jacket here). So, a wool coat in yellow made sense for me. And, this wrap coat? It’s beautiful. It has a figure-flattering silhouette with a self tie belt. It also has stand collar with a button closure, so you can wear it open like I’m wearing it or closed at the neckline when it gets chillier.
I’m a little obsessed with turtlenecks. They’re cold-weather staples for good reason. They keep you warm and have a super polished look. They’re also perfect for layering under or over. So, to rock my coat with the neckline open, I’m wearing the perfect turtleneck. By the way, this turtleneck comes in 8 colors, and I think I need them all, especially since they’re 30% off right now.
