A tailored shirtdress is such a wardrobe staple. When you find the right one, it can be so versatile. You can wear it on its own, as a tunic with bottoms, or even as a topper. You can also layer under or over a shirtdress to give it a new vibe. As you can imagine, I’m a fan of them because of the styling opportunities they bring. In today’s post, I’m sharing how I’ve been wearing a beautiful floral shirtdress as a lightweight jacket. It’s my shirtdress jacket.
What I’m wearing:
Dress c/o | White tee | White jeans c/o | Pumps (old, similar)
Lip: Mac “Heroine” lipstick | Nails: OPI Lavendurable
The print and color on this shirtdress scream spring! To allow the base turquoise hue to stand out, I decided to wear the shirtdress over a combination of all white. If the whites look familiar, it’s because you saw the same pieces anchoring another outfit (see that look here). I love and treasure those pieces I can wear again and again and actually want to wear often.
To tease out the orange color in the vibrant floral print, I wore my old J.Crew Elsie d’Orsay pumps in flame, a bold orange hue. The lovely thing about this floral pattern is it offers many cool possibilities for playing with color. I spy pink, peach, yellow, and more in the print.
