Colorblocking to Give New Life to Fall Favorites

This fall, colors are deeper, bolder, and brighter. And, you already know that I’m loving every bit of the season’s color trends. From mustard to emerald to burgundy, I’m here for it all. The only thing I like more than wearing a bold color is wearing bold blocks of color. You see, colorblocking is a cool styling approach to refresh fall staples.

I had to attend an event last weekend, but it got so cold that I had to rethink my outfit plan. Colorblocking saved the day because it allowed me to rock cold-weather basics while looking fresh, clean, and current.

I topped my amazon green turtleneck sweater (50% off today) with my go-to mustard moto jacket (20% off today). The silhouettes and textures combined beautifully, but the colors combined magically.

My suede clutch (my crossbody bag worn as a clutch) in port adds an additional block of complementary color. And, of course, tis the season to sparkle, so I wore my glitter pumps. This pair is an older style from J.Crew. If you’re shopping for a similar style, check out this sparkly pair (now on sale).

Funny enough my dad calls this colour riot but we fashion people know it as colour blocking. I love how you worked with three different colours yet it’s not overpowering. I especially love your coat and shoes.
