Summer Bargains that are Perfect for Fall

Happy first day of August! We’re now at that part of the summer when it’s still mercilessly hot, but fall is so near that you can’t help but think about the next season. So, last Thursday, when I hosted a shopping party at the St. Louis Premium Outlets, my shopping strategy was to sift through all the summer bargains in search of items I could wear now and next season. This post shares a couple of those fabulous and affordable finds.

The St. Louis Premium Outlets is home to some of my favorite stores, including J.Crew Factory, Kate Spade Outlet, Saks Off 5th, and BCBG Factory. On any trip to the outlets, I prioritize stops at these few stores. What are your must-visit stores?

I’m especially happy that I stopped by the BCBG store because there’s a major sale offering an additional 50% off the already-reduced prices. I purchased today’s featured ‘Dallin’ pleated maxi skirt, which originally retailed for $248, for only $59! See the same skirt in another color still listed at full-price at the main BCBG store here.

This maxi skirt immediately caught my attention with its perfect-for-fall, jewel tone and floor-grazing hemline. When I tried it on, y’all, I couldn’t stop dancing because it’s so fluid and flowy. The skirt is quite versatile too. It’s the kind of skirt that could be worn during the day (like I did) and easily glammed up for an evening out.

I noticed a few new stores, including Express and The Limited, at the St. Louis Premium Outlets during my recent trip. I’d never seen factory stores for these retailers, so I decided to check them out. The silky camisole I’m wearing with the maxi skirt is from Express Factory. Get this? The camisole is reversible! It’s a beautiful grey hue on the other side. So, I got two tops in one for about $25.
