Wedding Glam in a Mesh Midi Skirt

After all the fabulousness we got to see at Solange’s wedding, I now view wedding style in a whole new way. Jumpsuits. Crop tops. Tulle skirts. Sure, why not? One of my best friend’s got married last weekend. She’s a seasoned New Yorker and is always challenging style norms. So, I knew her wedding wouldn’t be conventional.

Remember the boohoo mesh skirt I featured in my Vintage Style Inspired by Diana Ross post? Well, I finally got to wear it out to an event. For the wedding, I paired that skirt with a sleeveless, high-neck, crop top. Both pieces are the same color, creating a right-on-trend monochrome look. Given the cut of the top and the volume of the skirt, I kept my jewelry minimal, wearing drop earrings, a cuff, and rings only.

Thanks, Aleczandra. The longer length of this crop top made it just perfect.

I love the pink/fuchsia tipped shoes with that berry colored two piece. I never would have thought to put those colors together, but it looks great. Note taken!
